“Do not compare your progress to anyone else’s. We all need time…to travel.”
* * * * * * *
I’ve noticed the truest form of you. Strong, resilient, triumphant. Somehow you don’t see you the way I see you. You view yourself a shadow of what you feel will make you great. You see you as a level 0 tenant of Earth. Always comparing your journey with the next person’s because you feel they are leaps ahead. You forgot something though. You forgot that you don’t know their struggle, the nights they stayed awake preparing for what they live now, the tireless hours and tear-filled nights. You can’t grasp their truth because it’s theirs, not yours.
I’ve noticed the queens and kings destined for their thrones because they were born to One. One Spirit who would expect nothing less than greatness from them because He knows you were made of it. Media became so much of a distraction for you that you’ve forgotten how we are all designed to be unique, follow different paths, and be who we are with love in our hearts the whole way. Yet you continue to question the roads your travel because they don’t match up to someone else’s.
I’ve noticed your deepest thoughts masked by your shallow concerns, the very ones that lead to everything that you are and want to be. You know whatever you deserve will happen in its time. A timeframe you cannot control. Good or bad. Happy or sad. What we think always manifests itself.
Open your eyes to your truth and respect your time, your travels, and your soul enough to live.
Become aware of the thoughts you whisper to yourself between the time you wake to the time your head touches your pillow. We are constantly thinking and building on subconscious fields of thoughts. You may not feel that you are thinking, but you are. We never stop. If you ask me, it’s something we’re cursed with. I think we too often use it against ourselves. Our planning abilities and creative channels.
Think about it.
(See, you’re thinking again.)
Seriously, sometimes I wish I was my black and white Great Dane Sheba. Some of you saw her in my previous post ‘Through the Ages’. All she ever thought of was playing and being around my sisters and me. She was always happy. It’s a bit funny that those proclaimed to be lesser than us…live a greater, peaceful, carefree life. They achieve what we can spend a million lifetimes trying to grasp: happiness.
We’ve been blindsided. Literally paying for our distractions, the very ones that lead us to make comparisons.
- Phone Bills – that text about that one dude you wish you could dress like.
- Cable Bills – the real housewives of blah, blah, blah.
- Loans – the grants you never got that left you in debt to a government that….blah, blah, blah.
- Rent – the money for the man that doesn’t care whether you eat or not.
- Food – the healthy food you need but can’t afford. Hold on though, didn’t God…
- Water – …. But that’s free…right?
- Air – … Whoa, wait, seriously?!
Yes. We’re paying for some things that were provided to us for free long before mankind grasped the notion of buying and selling. Losing ourselves in a world designed to force us into a box, use up our money, take away our time… (I think I almost started singing a Michael Jackson song…) and maintain the fine tuned working gears of “The Humdrum Machine”. Interesting, isn’t it? That you probably didn’t realize you were paying for your freedom.
It’s really wild to me that we exist this way. In a way that clouds our judgement and our soul level needs. How we are sworn our freedom, and confined by the power of paper (money). We’ve been succeeded by mankind’s greed. Time is money, and money is time.
No.
Time is mine, and this is my time.
I’ve noticed you trying to wake up. Your soul is tired of the mundane and you know there’s more than what you wake up to each morning. You know you’re at this point, and you know you need to make a change.
During our lifetime we adhere to a rule book. It’s persuasive, promising, powerful. Dictates our every move. Programs us to believe if we don’t stick to the “master plan” we have wronged ourselves [and society]. But, time has proven that we are not hardwired to do exactly what the person next to us does. The rule book works out for some, but not all. Remember this: we are not supposed to be like everybody else. We were individually designed and designated diverse purposes. Stop calculating your moves to match someone else’s. We all need our own time to become what we are, remove diversions, and hear out our truest forms.
The vessel is not the focus. The purpose is. Your happiness is. Your smile. Your joy. That’s the focus.
As much fun as distractions can be, don’t let them consume you so much that you can’t find yourself. Don’t let them become your reason for never trying, never listening to that inner voice yelling for revitilization, never taking your own time…to travel the life you deserve.
Love Always,
Veronica ✌❤
