The Final Word / Editor’s Note:
“Point of Infliction” was a thrill ride. To sum it up into one line I would say, “There’s something different inside us all, something that would make people who think they know us realize, they don’t.”
My editor is part of the reason why I am so proud of this novel. We did a 50/50 edit style. I wrote the first half and sent it to her. During the editing phase of that portion I wrote the ending, but because I am who I am there was some wait time involved on my part. During those weeks, she was more excited than I ever anticipated. Wonderfully enough, upon receiving the final chapters she was entertained to the very end. That is the highest compliment one could ever “pay” to an author.
On this final day of A Summer Reader’s Dream my only intention is to breathe again. I hope everything this past week has successfully reached you because I have been holding my breath, praying it would. Jasemine-Denise (author of “Twisted Illusions”) and I wanted to spend this week expressing our work to you through channels that could connect you to the novels. Purpose is key. Fiction is important to us, it is our passion, which is why we get so elated seeing people physically reading a book. Though this special was for ebook it began based on paperback readers.
Thank you all so much for either showing interest, reading my blogs, looking at my book, purchasing the eBooks. It is enchanting the feeling I get as a writer when someone says who their favorite character is in my novel, why they are, so on and so forth. It’s like a high you’re chasing and it’s irreplaceable. You are the absolute best. Thank you for supporting our summer special, retweeting, reblogging, reposting, resubmitting – whatever it was that helped share this – thank you.
Love Always,
Veronica ✌❤
