Veronica was born near Chicago, Illinois, the youngest of four children. During her grammar school years she spent her time writing poetry and short stories. After enjoying several publications in the Young Authors Newspaper her literary work won her a writing scholarship. This award was given to one student per elementary school in the district. In her final year she assisted the newspaper committee in choosing the best works from their district. After graduating as valedictorian, she moved on to become part of the first class at a newly developed high school, Proviso Mathematics and Science Academy where she continued on the path of creativity.

In 2009 she attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. One month in she published her premiere novel Blind Thirst, a fantasy novel written for teens. For nearly 4 years she remained relatively quiet in order to complete her first degree. Veronica declared academics highly important due to her ancestor’s backgrounds and wanted to honor their legacy with great success in every arena. She has stated it feels “like a crime to waste something so enriching and uplifting”. Therefore, she focused her energy on schooling.

Her young-adult drama, Tomorrow Never Came, was published with an intense storyline and messages for the new generation. One book reviewer described this emotional tale as, “beautifully written, this book gripped me from the beginning and the characters stayed with me long after it ended. Naomi and her friends lead you through the many issues of our teens from troubles coming out to being all your parents and friends wish you to be. Not only does this book tell a wonderful story, it leaves you wanting more.”

The following year her third novel, Point of Infliction, a suspense-thriller, was released. On April 14, 2014, her fans witnessed a darker side of her writing skill. One of her peers, who is also an avid reader, described this indie tale to readers as, “‘gutsy, risky, and probably the most terrifyingly real books I’ve ever read. This isn’t a horror story you tell at night to scare your kids, this is a realistic portrayal of what’s going on in the world today being told from two different perspectives.” Veronica N. Davis’ books are available worldwide, online, and in local bookstores.

On July 17, 2019 Veronica founded her independent digital agency VENDI Media, launching only days later on July 21st. By 2021 she parted from the traditional workforce. Not entirely due to her success with VENDI Media, but to honor her desire to evolve, challenge, and find her own way. As of 2023, she is working on her 4th literary piece, among other fun projects she can’t wait to share!

Veronica says her greatest mission is to uplift, encourage, and strengthen the spirits of others. She partakes in and supports the Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) organization, a non-profit that provides food for children. She once said, “No one should feel alone. In this world, it may be easy to be negative, but it’s a lot more useful to be positive. I will do my very best to bring joy to others in whatever form I can.” She also donates to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital via her company.

Through creativity she continues to bring awareness to causes and situations dear to her while bringing new ideas and elevated thoughts to life. She reminds people what it means to care for one another as well as themselves.
